Join OCIC and Street Kids International for a Breakfast Meeting on the topic of internships in international cooperation.
This Breakfast Meeting is intended for professionals in organizations who manage international internships.
There are inherent challenges in sending volunteers or interns to work with partner organizations in other countries. Intern selection, pre-departure training, ongoing communication and support, security, impact of intern on partner organization, effectiveness of intern activities, public engagement (including social media) and reintegration are all aspects which organizations must be equipped to handle. This Breakfast Meeting is a chance to hear and share the methods that different organizations use in various aspects of internships. Please come prepared to share some of the tools and practices you have found useful in this work and be willing to explore possible avenues for collaboration in public engagement, networking and supporting interns.
